Da Nang hosts seaside Quảng-inspired culinary feast
(NLDO) - "Da Nang Food Tour 2026" will take place from May 20 to 24, featuring various activities to promote the culinary culture of the Quảng region.
On May 7, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held a press conference to announce the "Da Nang Food Tour 2026."
This year’s festival will feature an expanded scale with over 100 stalls, 70 street food vendors, and various cultural, artistic, and community activities.
The event’s opening highlight is the "Da Nang Street Food Parade," scheduled for 5:00 PM on May 20 along the Pham Van Dong coastal route. Over 70 creatively designed food stalls will recreate the street food atmosphere of the Quảng region, showcasing local specialties, coastal seafood, mountain flavors, and international cuisine.
The opening ceremony is set for 7:30 PM on May 21 at East Sea Park. The event will feature a stage performance combining music, lighting, choreography, and culinary demonstrations, retracing the journey from traditional rural kitchens to modern life.

Throughout the festival, the "Quảng Region Culinary Excellence" area will host over 200 stalls featuring food, OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, and local agricultural specialties. Concurrent activities include "Colors of Quảng" art check-in points, workshops on cake making and seafood processing, traditional games, and folk crafts.
A highly anticipated event is the Beer Fest Night on the evening of May 23, offering more than 5,000 "Food & Beer" combos alongside music and interactive games. The festival will culminate in a grand concert on May 24, featuring popular artists such as Noo Phuoc Thinh, Trong Hieu, Karik, DJ Mie, Kimmese, and Orange.
Beyond the city center, the festival will extend southward with the "Sea Flavors" food fair at Tam Thanh Square and the "Hoi An Dong Traditional Cake" fair at Cam Chau Market to honor traditional Quảng culinary culture.
As part of the program, the city also introduced the "Danang Food Tours 2026" series, which will run year-round and include culinary exploration journeys through Hoi An, Dien Ban, Tam Ky, and Dai Loc.
Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, stated that the festival is more than just an annual culinary event; it is an experiential journey where food is told through the language of emotions, memories, and creativity.
Ms. Thi urged relevant departments and local authorities to coordinate closely to ensure security, safety, environmental hygiene, and service quality throughout the festival.
