HCMC leaders and Becamex boost investment in South Korea

A delegation from Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee, attended the HCMC-Busan Business Forum in Busan, South Korea on August 13th. The event aimed to foster trade and business connections in the region.
At the forum, Becamex Corporation, a state-owned enterprise under the HCMC People's Committee, showcased the city’s industrial park infrastructure following its recent administrative merger.
As a leading industrial developer in the former Bình Dương Province, Becamex is steering toward a model of eco-industrial and symbiotic industrial parks with robust infrastructure and significant value-added features.

During the forum, Becamex signed memoranda of understanding with several South Korean conglomerates, including:
Busan Port Authority (BPA): To establish a strategic partnership and promote cooperation in port infrastructure development, logistics and supply chain connectivity, remote area and industrial project development, digital transformation, smart industrial ecosystems, and eco-friendly smart port systems.
Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH): To implement the "Urban Growth Partnership Program," strengthening government-to-government (G2G) collaboration to transform HCMC into a leading smart city in Vietnam.
The agreement outlines specific cooperative measures to advance the Urban Growth Partnership Project (UGPP), focusing on smart urban and industrial park development in line with HCMC’s smart city planning.
LS Electric (LSE): To collaborate on technical development and deploy smart factory solutions in Vietnam, including Digital Twin, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), warehouse management systems, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV), and vision-based inspection systems.
