The issuance includes 50,000 bonds with a total nominal value of USD 50 million (Tranche 1) and a three-year tenor. It forms part of HDBank’s International Green Bond Program, which comprises two separate tranches totaling USD 100 million. The bonds are non-convertible, unsecured, and not attached to any warrants. Saigon Securities Corporation (SSI) acted as the documentation advisor.

Proceeds from the international green bonds will enable HDBank to diversify its funding sources, strengthen risk management capabilities, and expand its participation in renewable energy projects, green infrastructure, electric vehicles, and energy-efficiency solutions.

The funds raised through this IFC-backed issuance are expected to support at least 50 customers in implementing green initiatives, contributing to an estimated annual reduction of 100,500 tons of CO₂. This effort aligns with Vietnam’s commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Earlier, IFC supported HDBank in the development and issuance of a Sustainable Finance Framework aligned with international standards, completed at the end of 2024. This framework laid a solid foundation for the bank’s green and sustainable bond activities.

With the successful issuance of international green bonds, HDBank continues to strengthen its credibility in global capital markets, while affirming its leadership in integrating business growth, sustainable governance, and community development.
