Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a vibrant mega-city for tourism

(NLĐO) - ITE HCMC 2025 aims to raise awareness of sustainable tourism while emphasizing the development of innovative products and services.

Ho Chi Minh City is steadily emerging as a regional hub for major events and a dynamic, promising tourist destination.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc underscored this vision at the recent opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC) 2025, themed "Vietnam Night – The Flow of Essence".

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, "Vietnam Night – The Flow of Essence" — one of the highlights of ITE HCMC 2025 — serves as a cultural bridge, showcasing the richness of Vietnamese tourism and cuisine to delegates and guests, offering deeper insights into the people and culture of Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that within the framework of ITE HCMC 2025, the city is presenting an art program themed "The Flow of Essence" to international friends.

"The program is a warm welcome to our international guests to Ho Chi Minh City — a modern megacity, the nation's leading dynamic economic and financial hub. It is also a megacity that is steadily becoming a regional center for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events, as well as an attractive, vibrant, and promising tourism destination," Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized.

ITE HCMC 2025 took place from September 4 to 6 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. 

Over the past 19 years of continuous innovation, creativity, and enhanced professionalism in organization, the event has marked a solid step forward on its journey to becoming an influential international tourism promotion platform in the Mekong region and across Asia.

ITE HCMC 2025 sets out the strategic vision for Vietnam's tourism industry, and Ho Chi Minh City's in particular, under the theme "Sustainable Tourism – Vibrant Experiences." 

The event aims to raise awareness of sustainable tourism while emphasizing the development of innovative products and services that meet the growing demand for green and responsible travel.
