Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress delegates honor martyrs in solemn tribute

(NLĐO) – Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress delegates paid tribute to heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Cemetery with flowers and incense.

On the morning of October 13, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders and officials paid respects with flowers and incense to honor Vietnam's heroic mothers and fallen martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence, freedom, and the people's well-being.

The delegation led by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang saw the presence of Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the municipal National Assembly delegation; Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc; Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council Vo Van Minh; Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Phuoc Loc; Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong; Head of the Organization Commission of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Van Thi Bach Tuyet; along with members of the Standing Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and delegates summoned to attend the Congress.

In a solemn ceremony, the delegates placed a wreath at the Monument to the Fatherland's Gratitude. Standing before the spirits of the heroic mothers and martyrs, they observed a minute of silence and offered fragrant incense at each grave, expressing profound gratitude for their ultimate sacrifices in the fight for the nation's liberty.

The group later proceeded to President Ho Chi Minh Statue Park on Nguyen Hue walking street, where they offered additional incense and flowers.

After the commemorations concluded, the delegation headed to the Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy to hold its preparatory session.
