The festival takes place as Vietnam and Singapore have recently upgraded their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

With the message "Phở - Enjoying together, growing together", the Vietnam Phở Festival 2025 aims to invite international friends to enjoy a signature Vietnamese dish, which CNN listed among the world’s 50 must-try foods in 2011, while conveying Vietnam’s aspiration for connection, sharing, and joint development.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Trần Phước Anh noted that both the Vietnamese community and international friends in Singapore are enthusiastic whenever phở is mentioned.  This marks the first time the Vietnam Phở Festival is being held in the country, accompanied by side events such as exhibitions and art performances.

With Singapore welcoming 17 million international visitors annually and serving as a major market and regional hub, the festival offers Vietnam a valuable opportunity to share cultural stories and bring its culinary heritage to the wider world.

At Our Tampines Hub, attendees will be served phở prepared on-site by master artisans and top chefs from Vietnam.

As Co-Chair of the Vietnam Phở Festival Organizing Committee, Nguyễn Tiến Đạt, General Director of the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) under Saigontourist Group, noted that the festival had been successfully held in Japan in 2023 and in South Korea in 2024. This year, the organizers selected Singapore as the next destination, given its importance as a key market for Vietnamese tourism and its profound diplomatic ties with Vietnam.
