Manila - Da Nang direct route opens
(NLĐO) - The Manila – Da Nang route operates three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
On July 1, Philippine Airlines flight PR585 landed at Da Nang International Airport, marking the launch of the new direct route between Manila and Da Nang
Flight PR585 was warmly welcomed with a water cannon salute, while 193 passengers from Manila were greeted with traditional art performances, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and souvenir gifts at the international arrival terminal of Da Nang Airport.

The Manila – Da Nang route operates three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays - using Airbus A321 aircraft with 199 seats, including 12 business class seats.
Starting from November, the airline plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week to meet the growing travel demand between the two countries.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of Da Nang's Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated that the launch of the new route comes at a time when the city is officially operating within a new geographical space, signaling a positive development for the tourism sector.
"Da Nang will continue to diversify its markets, especially in Southeast Asia, through promotion campaigns, marketing activities, and by attracting more airlines," Ms. An emphasized.
According to statistics, Da Nang welcomed over 65,000 visitors from Philippines in 2024.
In the first five months of 2025 alone, the number of Filipino arrivals surpassed 49,000 - more than 2.2 times higher than the same period last year.
