According to the People's Committee of Hoi An Dong Ward - Đà Nẵng City, Forbes Magazine announced its list of the Top 50 beautiful villages in the world for 2025 in September. Cam Thanh is the only village of Vietnam to be honored, securing the 20th position among the 50 most beautiful villages globally.

Cam Thanh is a land where river meets the sea, the confluence of three rivers - Thu Bon, Truong Giang, and Lo Canh Giang - with the East Sea, creating a rare brackish water ecosystem where salt and fresh water intermingle.
This area also serves as the buffer zone for the Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve. It boasts a diverse natural resource base that nurtures aquatic life and acts as a climate-regulating "lung" for the Hoi An area.
Its rivers, rice fields, bamboo hedges, coconut clusters, traditional places of worship and belief, and village roads have together woven Cam Thanh into a ink wash painting.
Cam Thanh also stands out with its nearly 100-hectare Bay Mau Coconut Forest, which retains many distinctive features of an estuarine coastal mangrove ecosystem, surrounded by natural sand dunes and islets.

The basket boat experience in Cam Thanh's mangrove palm forest is highly popular among tourists
Community-based tourism models (such as basket boat experiences, cooking classes, and homestays), along with products made from coconuts and near-shore seafood, have transformed the coconut forest ecosystem into a long-term source of income for local residents. This has improved livelihoods and reduced the pressure of natural destruction often associated with mass tourism models.
Being recognized on Forbes' list of beautiful tourist villages is not only an opportunity for Cam Thanh to continue promoting its potential and preserving its unique identity, but also a driving force to build the brand of "green – heritage – sustainable destination." This recognition contributes to promoting the image of Da Nang in particular, and Vietnamese tourism in general, further on the international stage.
To meet the growing demand from visitors to the Cam Thanh - Bay Mau Coconut Forest Historical and Cultural Relic Site, on September 22, the People's Committee of Hoi An Dong Ward issued a decision announcing the operation of the Thanh Tam Tourism Inland Waterway Terminal.
The Thanh Tam Tourism Inland Waterway Terminal is expected to contribute to developing the waterway transportation network, strengthening the connection of river tourism routes, creating a tourism infrastructure highlight, and improving service quality in the locality. Ultimately, this will promote socio-economic development and advertise the image of Hoi An Dong Ward - Da Nang City, as a civilized, modern, and friendly tourist destination.
