The Pho Day Festival 2025, themed “Elevating Vietnamese Rice – Reaching the World,” will take place on December 13 and 14 at the former Tax Trade Center site, 135 Nguyen Hue Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event will feature more than 30 pho stalls representing well-known brands from across Vietnam, including H’Mong Pho from Ha Giang (with noodles made from corn), Pho Nho Pho Nui from Pleiku—also widely known as “Two-Bowl Pho,” Lac Hong Pho from Nam Dinh, and notably the presence of Pho Viet from Seoul, South Korea (Pho Khoe).

Many visitors enjoyed morning pho at the “Vietnam Pho Festival” recently held in Singapore
According to the organizers, the festival is expected to serve more than 20,000 bowls of pho over the two days and attract around 100,000 visitors. Each bowl of pho will be sold at a uniform price of 40,000 VND.
When asked whether the fixed price of 40,000 VND per bowl could still ensure quality, the pho vendors participating in the press conference affirmed that this price is sufficient to offer customers a delicious bowl of pho that reflects the authentic flavor of each brand.
Meanwhile, journalist Tran Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, noted that the 40,000 VND price is significantly lower than the market rate. However, it is intended as a symbolic price to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy pho during the festival.
He added that the organizers hope this pricing will encourage visitors to try a variety of pho brands at the event, allowing them to fully experience the diversity of Vietnam's iconic national dish.
According to the organizers, at least 10 percent of pho sales during the two-day event—together with contributions from readers and partner organizations—will be donated to residents in areas heavily affected by storms and floods in Dak Lak Province.
Pho Day has received consistent support and coordination over the years from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, with Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company as an ongoing partner.
The program originated from an initiative launched in 2017, and December 12 was officially recognized as "Pho Day" beginning in 2018.
Now in its ninth year, Pho Day continues to pursue its overarching goal: to have pho recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of the world. This journey is told through the story of rice grains, pho noodles, and the unique cultural, culinary, diplomatic, and economic values that this iconic dish carries.
