The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme "Digital Content Development – Spreading Humanitarian Values."
Under this agreement, Người Lao Động Newspaper's news will be officially integrated into the MoMo app. Users will be able to stay updated with verified news quickly and conveniently, interact with the newsroom via messaging, and enjoy social media-like features.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tô Đình Tuân, Editor-in-Chief of Người Lao Động Newspaper, emphasized that the publication is the official media outlet of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, with nearly 50 years of establishment and development.
He highlighted the paper’s mission to communicate Party guidelines and State policies in a timely, reliable, and humanistic manner. Recognizing digital transformation as a vital path forward, he underscored the importance of adapting both technological infrastructure and editorial mindset.

“We are not only investing in developing technological infrastructure and digital platforms, but more importantly, we are shifting our journalistic mindset - putting readers at the center and reaching them on every platform where they are present.
In line with that vision, bringing Người Lao Động Newspaper to the MoMo platform - a super app with over 30 million users - is the next step in our digital transformation journey.
This is not just a new distribution channel, but also a space to spread accurate, official information and connect more closely with the community, especially younger readers, businesses, and tech-savvy users,” Dr. Tô Đình Tuân noted.
Mr Nguyễn Bá Diệp, Co-founder of MoMo, said the collaboration not only broadens access to news for MoMo’s vast user base, but also supports the goal of building a digital society where trustworthy information is easily accessible.
"In an age of information overload, it is vital to amplify accurate, verified content from credible media outlets. MoMo aims to bridge the gap between revolutionary journalism and the public, especially younger generations who consume news through technology platforms. The collaboration with Người Lao Động Newspaper not only accelerates the digitalization of journalism but also helps build a healthy information ecosystem, contributing to greater social awareness and understanding," Mr Diệp said.
Beyond news distribution, the partnership also holds strong social significance. MoMo and Người Lao Động Newspaper will jointly launch a donation portal within the app to support the scholarship program for ethnic minority and underprivileged students. This initiative reflects both organizations’ commitment to social responsibility and youth empowerment.
Người Lao Động Newspaper currently manages a dynamic digital ecosystem spanning over 21 social media channels, attracting more than 3.6 million daily views - an impressive milestone within Vietnam’s media landscape.
